Junmai Ginjo Summer Sake with Goldfish Label
At first glance, the label is pure white with only the name of the sake. However, if you turn the bottle around and look through the back, you will see a school of goldfish swimming in the sake. What a stylish presentation.
I came across this sake when I was just starting out in the world of sake, and that was the end of my luck. Every summer, I buy a bottle to relive the excitement I felt when I looked at the label from the back.
The taste is also nothing to write home about, of course. It is sharp and slightly dry. The taste is cool and refreshing, just like a goldfish swaying in the cool air. It tastes as if the image of summer sake has been extracted directly from the bottle, and with each sip, memories of summer seem to flow directly from the taste buds into the brain.
As usual, the brewery produces sake that is old-fashioned and honest rather than so-called modern, yet not outdated.
