Hohai純米大吟醸 最初で最後
へべれけしぎん
I went to the Miura Sake Brewery in Hirosaki, where Toyobai is brewed, for my long-awaited visit.
The main purpose of the visit was to taste the "First and Last" and to purchase the "Houhai", which I had always been curious about, but never had the courage to buy myself.
After purchasing a tasting card, you can charge it to taste the brand of your choice.
The card can only be charged in increments of 1,000 yen, so I had to do the math to make sure I didn't have too much left over (lol), and this time I tasted 4 out of the 8 brands!
(*To be exact, we visited by car, so we bought a bottle to take home.)
The first and the last was... a tremendous, clear, and tremendous taste😇!
(I think it was 1,600 yen for 30ml? I bought 60ml of it)
It's a special feeling that convinces you it's worth it!
The label with Kichikuzo's handwriting is also cute 🤗.
Inside the restaurant, the music video of "Rainbow" (*a cool song that was created by incorporating a folk song called "Hohai-bushi," which is a Japanese folk song) sung by Aomori's local idol "Rice Ball" was playing on repeat on a laptop in the corner, and the song was strangely addictive. I became their fan (lol).
If you have a chance to listen to it while drinking Toyobai at home (lol), please take a look at it.
