I was looking for a new brand of hiyaoroshi, and the owner recommended it to me. I had often seen Mansaku no Hana at liquor stores, but this was my first time drinking it.
It has a slightly sweet, fruity taste, followed by a good sense of alcohol and rice flavor in the aftertaste, with a good cut at the end. There is also a bit of pleasant bitterness when tasted thoroughly on the tongue. Not heavy, but great to enjoy in multiple layers.
After finishing the bottle, I made a shocking discovery. The production date was last August. I don't think the taste will deteriorate since it is kept refrigerated, but rather, has it aged further? I'd like to find out!
