Abe Silver Label" is the standard junmai ginjo from the popular Niigata sake brewery Abe Shuzo. The Abe series has a low distribution volume, but we received a bottle of the newest sake pressed in October of this year.
The flavor seems to differ slightly depending on the lot in which it is made, but I drank the vol. 1 one. When I opened the bottle, the lid opened vigorously like champagne, and when I poured it out, a slightly effervescent, slightly cloudy sake came out.
It was a mild sake with a fruity aroma like melon, refreshing sweetness and acidity, and a slight carbonation that was pleasant.
