Limited edition sake "Hyakusaiji Barrel" purchased at Hyakusaiji Temple in Shiga Prefecture, which we visited recently.
I couldn't buy it when I visited last year, so I finally got around to buying it this year.
The sake has a ginjo aroma that passes smoothly in the mouth, a sweetness of rice that comes later, and a crisp aftertaste that adds to the ease of drinking.
It also goes well with the dried squid I bought in Himi the other day.
A most luxurious time to enjoy sake and snacks bought on a trip at home!
