This term, Michiko and Masaaki will continue to work on Yui Yui at the Sanzen Sakura Brewery in Hokkaido and the Raifuku Brewery in Ibaraki, respectively.
At a SAKE MEETING held in Toride, Masaaki-san gave me a bottle of Masao (Masaaki's Oumachi). He said it was lighter this year, but it tasted exactly like Yui Yui.
I bought a bottle of Michio (Michiko's Omachi), which I could not drink that day, and drank it.
Mmmm, it was delicious!
Soft, mellow, sweet and acidic with a strawberry flavor that is typical of Yui.
I heard that this season's Omachi does not melt, but the sweetness and umami are well expressed.
It has more flavor than last year and is more like Yui.
As expected of Michiko!
She must have changed the water and yeast in Hokkaido, which she is not accustomed to, but it still tastes like Yui!
Michiko must have brought out the taste of Yui.
I was so happy that I drank more and more.
