🌸"Kudokibe Junmai Daiginjo"✨
This is a special limited edition sake from Hasegawa Sake Shop!
First, pour it into a glass and you'll be entranced by its clear, transparent color 👀✨✨.
As you approach the aroma, a gorgeous sweet aroma reminiscent of ripe strawberries 🍓 spreads softly.
As soon as you take a sip, the juicy, muscat-like flavor bursts onto your tongue, leaving a light yet profound aftertaste...it was truly a "sake that tastes like fruit" 😋.
What was even more surprising was about the rice used for this sake, Kokuryo Miyako.
Kokuryo Miyako was grown all over Kyushu before World War II, but it was labor intensive to cultivate and had the disadvantage of being tall and prone to fall over.
As a result, it gradually disappeared and became a "phantom rice" that only remains in records.
However! With the cooperation of local farmers, the rice miraculously made a comeback from only 12 grains of seed rice 🌱✨.
The rice was so honored that it was chosen as the rice offering for the Emperor Showa's accession to the throne, and to think that it has been revived in the modern age and delivered to us as sake... it is deeply moving 🥹.
As the name of the brand "Kudokibe" suggests, it has a gentle and fruity feel on the palate, and I found myself being drawn to it more and more.
