Rokkasen Sake Brewery, Yamagata, Japan
I tasted & bought this sake at the brewery when I heard it was made from rice grown in Yamagata!
Rice polishing ratio: 60
Alcohol content: 16%.
Made with 100% Yamagata produced rice
I imagined it would be more peculiar and preachy because of the label and name, but it was not at all.
But it was not like that at all, and I could drink it as a food sake that goes well with any food 🍶.
The aroma is not strong but gorgeous,
The aroma is not strong but gorgeous, and when you put it in your mouth, it is a little tangy and has a clear and refreshing taste 🫧.
It is not sticky after drinking, but has a sweetness to it. It has a lingering sweetness that lingers on the palate.
It can be served both at room temperature and cold.
It went well with a lacquer ware sake cup 👐.
I think I've had the Dewa Butterfly one before, but I can't remember, so I'd like to compare 🥺.
