I've procured some Gokanzake for New Year's, but it's cold, so I'm going to taste it. It's easy to keep it at room temperature as long as it's kept out of the sun.
A sip in cold water. The bright yellow color of the aged sake makes me expect it to be warmed up.
It's a delicious sake when it's heated up to a little warmer.
It's as if only the gentle sweetness of freshly cooked rice has been extracted and made into a liquid.
It is also very good warmed up!
