Delicious and super sweet. I think it's a berry type sweetness. The moment you put it in your mouth, it is immediately sweet. The sweetness spreads as you roll it around on your tongue, but the aftertaste disappears quickly, leaving no messy aftertaste.
Because it is unfiltered and unpasteurized, there is a bit of a bite to it. It would be better to drink it in small sips rather than gulping it down.
I was surprised to find such an intensely sweet sake in Niigata, which has a strong image of light and dry sake. I would like to drink it again.
