I have always been curious about this local sake from Saitama, but finally bought it.
I started with the special junmai on the right.
The aroma is slightly lactic acidic.
When you drink it, you will notice a slight sourness with a sweetness that is not too strong. There is no bitterness or other unpleasant taste. It is delicious on its own, and when paired with food, the sweetness softens a little and enhances the food.
The alcohol content of 16% does not seem too high and the sake is very cost-effective. Add it to your favorites!
Bunraku, also from the Northwest Shuzo Brewery, has a classical sake image, but Sara is the exact opposite, a modern sake that reminded me once again of the wide range of sake available!
