I drank Nanyo Brewing's "Aan no Sato Junmai Sake". Nanyo Brewing is famous for their "Hanayosu", but I've heard that this "Aino-Sato" is different from the flamboyant and fruity Hanayosu in that it's more suitable for an evening drink. The indigo label is simple and tasteful.
It has a distinctly yellow color in appearance.
The aroma is faintly reminiscent of green apples.
The mouthfeel is very mild, with a hint of rice flavor and a slight apple taste. The rice flavor comes out more clearly as it rolls on the tongue. There is a bitterness in the aftertaste and a clean, spicy taste. It's best to drink it at room temperature to lukewarm.
As I heard before I drank it, it was a solid evening drink that was completely different from the glamorous Hanayosu. The more I drank it, the better I felt it was. I thought it was a solid and tasty sake, a different vector from the Hanayōbō and a different drink.
