We first had it cold, and it has a very good balance of sharpness and flavor, with a mouthfeel that is truly Yamada-Nishiki. It has a strong rice flavor and would go well with all kinds of snacks. It is brewed with 100% Yamada-Nishiki produced in Mie Prefecture, but I had never heard that Yamada-Nishiki is cultivated in Mie Prefecture. It is a delicious sake that can be drunk anywhere.
