JIRO
Purchased at the MaxValu in front of Yamagata Station.
The MaxValu there has a good selection of regular local sake, and after purchase, it can be shipped from the service counter, so it was like a heavenly store.
I enjoyed it at room temperature. The taste is a bit bland, but the gentle taste of rice spreads in the mouth at first, then quickly disappears in the mouth, leaving no aftertaste.
The brewer recommends light snacks such as yudofu (boiled tofu) and squid somen noodles, but it also goes well with tempura, ahi tuna, and other strong-flavored snacks.
However, this sake seems to go better with sashimi of sea bream than grilled fish.
The sake is served in a Wajima-nuri Bajo cup. We wish Noto a speedy recovery.
