ABE/GREEN LABEL/Rakufu Mai/Junmai Ginjo/Origarami Nama-nama Sake
4.0
Easy to drink, too easy to drink. It is too easy to drink, too easy to drink. The alcohol content is 13%, so it is easy to drink. It is a quintessential Abe quality.
It is a quality that can develop new sake fans. The orikara is well-balanced compared to other brands. The balance of acidity and fizziness is exquisite. Personally, I would like a little more lingering rice flavor.
I would like to have a little more lingering rice flavor.
Abe has a considerable range of flavor variations, but I highly recommend it to first-timers. It can be used as a food sake. Personally, I would pair it with carpaccio or aqua pazza.
The yeast used is "Niigata Prefecture yeast G9" and the rice used is "Raku-fu-mai" produced in Kashiwazaki. I would like to see more sake from Kashiwazaki being made available.
I was so impressed that I visited a sake brewery in Kashiwazaki from another prefecture three years ago after drinking Abe Blue for the first time. It is inevitable that it will become "Shinsei" in the not-too-distant future.
