Ruri Karakusa" is the Japanese name of a flower called "nemophila," which produces pretty, small flowers of a beautiful, fresh sky blue color that seem to connect with the sky. Ruri" is one of the "kasane-iro-me" used in juni-hitoe, a traditional color that is said to bring good luck, as it is a deep blue (asagi) with a purple tinge like lapis lazuli, a jewel.
