Saki
I bought it last year at a roadside liquor store when I was there before. It came in a paulownia box and was supposed to be drunk on New Year's Day, but I didn't drink it because I was dead at work. I opened it on an ordinary day when I bought some mackerel sushi.
The aroma is melon! The Mie sake I had before was also melon. It is soft to the taste and sweet. The alcohol content seems strong. Is it because it is so sweet that I drink it too much?
I heard that it was the toast for the working dinner at the Ise-Shima Summit. I guess fish goes well with sweet sake. The recommended pairings are bluefish, salmon meuniere, and cream dishes.
