I don't usually drink sweet sake as I prefer food sake, but my friend liked it and asked for it, so I tasted a little.
It was surprisingly fruity and very easy to drink, with a sourness that reminded me of summery fruit, exactly like the lychee on the label. It was sweet, but not at all unpleasantly cloying, with just the right amount of acidity and a clean aftertaste, which was also great, and will definitely be a repeat purchase for a sweet after-dinner finish. It is so fruity that you may wonder if it is really sake. I am glad to have found my favorite sweet sake.
