I bought this Junmai Daiginjo at a liquor store on my way home from a GW trip to my wife's grandmother's house.
Personally, I think the name is a bit odd, but it was used at the Nobel Prize night cap party for Prof. Yamanaka, who is famous for his iPS cell research! I bought it to try it out.
At first, I did not have high expectations and bought the mini size, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it tasted even better than I had imagined.
It was the most delicious sake I have ever tasted, with a gorgeous green apple aroma and no alcohol tanginess at all. (On the other hand, if you like dry and refreshing sake, this is not for you.)
I am a 30-something year old man, so I am a little embarrassed of the brand name when recommending it to others (lol), but the blue bottle design is cool, the taste is good, and it was one that left a vivid impression on my memory.
