A commemorative sake for the 333rd anniversary of Nitago's founding, this kijoshu comes in the unusual form of a set of two bottles (really two bottles, tied together with a string). Today, we opened a bottle of Omachi's Kijoshu, which was brewed in the 330th year of the company's founding and aged for three years. The beautiful amber color of the narrow bottle is impressive. The taste has a refreshing sweetness with a slight acidity that lingers. The mild sweetness characteristic of kijoshu has been lightened thanks to the aging process, and it smoothly passes down the throat, leaving a refined sweetness to be enjoyed. I suddenly thought that it would be good to pair it with Japanese sugar confections. I don't know if I will be able to enjoy it again next year since it is a commemorative sake, but I would like to drink Nitoshi's kijoshu again. It is delicious. ‼️
