＜The aroma of iso is like Islay, a different dimension of sake.
A liquor aged in Islay whiskey barrels. There are many kinds of whiskey, but the one from Islay is a severely weird one. Anyway, it is very peculiar.
The aroma is already perverted. It has the scent of iso. Iso aroma is not a banana-like isoamyl acetate ginjo aroma, of course, but a peaty iso aroma that is very Islay. But not only that, there is also a slight lactic acidity.
In the mouth, it is acid-powaho sweet-umami. From there, it is acid-powaho sweet-amami. Then, more umami alcohol.
The aftertaste is sweet and bitter, with a hint of Islay.
I've had a lot of weird sake in the past, but this is by far the weirdest. Is this what they mean when they say it's hard to describe? I love it.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, it would be the spider from "Gedo Senki". He is the last boss of unknown age and gender. In the original setting, he is a wizard who was excellent but fell into darkness because of his power. How did this happen!
