WAKAZEthe classic
辛子蓮根
It tastes like Shinsei and Koei Kiku added together, divided by 2, and then deteriorated. It has an unpleasant aroma like moss in the mouth. I paired it with foie gras Rossini style and roast beef with balsamic vinegar, but it didn't go well with anything. I think a 2,000 yen red wine would go better with this. It's an interesting sake, but 2500 yen is a lot of money for a standard sake. 1500 yen Shinsei Ecru is good enough.
