I went to my favorite liquor store because their stock of sake is getting low. It is still in the middle of fall sake, but I am not a big fan of fall sake in general, so I did my research beforehand. When I got to the store, I couldn't find the sake I was looking for.
I asked the clerk and she told me to wait a little while as she was going to the warehouse a little further away to pick it up. I waited for a while, less than 10 minutes. The sake I was looking for arrived. It had been a long time since I had had a storeroom pick it up for me.
Then, I put it in the refrigerator for half a day to cool it down.
The aroma is fresh, as only new sake can be. It smells like lychee, melon, and European white grapes. There is a small amount of oriki at the bottom of the bottle. As expected of Houou Mita. The balance of the five tastes is very good. You may feel that it lacks in terms of sharpness, but this freshness is irresistible.
