The sake was supposed to be warmed up, so I had it lukewarm.
The aroma is not as strong when heated, and it doesn't have the distinctive warming sensation that hits the back of the nose, but it has a mild taste, so even people who don't like hot sake can drink it. It tastes sweet at first, but it has a sharpness to it, with a sourness that lingers at the end.
We paired it with a kiritanpo hot pot, and it went well with the light chicken broth and rice.
