I bought this on the recommendation of a liquor store, but this is definitely the liquor store's taste.
I don't recognize this as a rich, full-bodied umakuchi. But if it wasn't in the rich and delicious category, I think there would be a lot of people who like it!
I can imagine what it would be like if it wasn't pure rice.
The flavor of Yamada Nishiki is strong, and the aftertaste is mildly bitter. Maybe it's because it's a new sake, but it's not so rich. It's very fresh.
