There aren't many stores in front of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. We visited to support an Obanzai restaurant that had been closed due to the Corona disaster and reopened as a creative izakaya (Japanese style bar). Maru Sosaku Sake Bar They had 6 famous brands of Sake in Hokkaido, so I tried Hakodate Bokou, which I've never had before. Upon closer inspection, I found that the sake was not brewed in Hokkaido, but by the Konishi Shuzo brewery in Hyogo Prefecture! The rice used for the sake was Hokkaido's Ginpu! The aroma is amazing! The fruitiness of the aroma was more intense than any other sake I've had recently! It tasted like apples on the palate, just as I expected 🍋🍏🍏. Delicious 😋. Finished with a light full of Matsumae pickles, seasonal green asparagus and whelk 🐚. Back at the hotel, I drank up all the Tenka I had left over from last night, and now it's off to Tomakomai from Hakodate today! I got a bottle of Sanzen Sakura Sakura Sakura Nigori at Inamuraya for a party at the end of the month, so my friends and I can taste it too! extensive knowledge All of the sake is made from "Ginpu" rice grown in Hakodate, Hokkaido's representative rice for sake brewing. This junmai ginjo-shu is carefully brewed with a clean, aromatic finish. The label features Goryokaku Park, the Trappistine Monastery, red bricks, and other attractive tourist attractions in Hakodate, which is full of emotion.
