When I wasn't really interested in sake, I was served Yamahai lukewarm because it was supposed to go well with food, and I had the impression that I didn't like sour sake. I thought the sourness that came after the sweetness was pleasant. The rhythm of the sweetness coming in waves after the sweetness was interesting, and I found myself drinking it again and again.
For some reason, it took me a few months to finish it, but the sourness dissipated over time, and I felt it was much the same as the special junmai-shu version. I'd buy it again if I had the chance to drink it at the regular price. Oh, by the way, I forgot to try drinking it warmed up.
