The taste is slightly stimulating to the tongue. Despite the stimulation, there is not much acidity, but rather a deliciously rich flavor with an elegant sweetness. The top aroma is slightly citrusy.
Founded in 1819, the brewery has a history of more than 200 years. The "momiji" in the company name "Hatsumomiji" is derived from the words "rubbing in and out of colors," and refers to the "beginning" of the coloring of plants. The logo is based on the motifs of "mountains," "sun," and "transitions," and expresses the desire to "deliver the ever-changing nature with Japanese sake.
The character design of "Harada" has also been retained, with the "hara" inside the "hara" resembling a "spring" and its "water" dripping down toward the "tada" (rice field). The name comes from the brewer's family name, "Harada.
