Goto Sake Shop is a must-visit liquor store in Akita City, Akita Prefecture.
They have a great selection of Akita's best sake in every corner of the city.
I immediately bought the "Yukino Kayasha Bishu no Sekkei" and "Manzaku no Hana Super Limited," which I enjoyed at the sushi bar, and asked for other recommendations. And what's more, it's a secret sake that won a gold medal at a sake fair that year!
It was a bit pricey, but I thought it would be a good souvenir for my husband.
I bought another bottle for my husband, who prefers light and dry sake. Hou Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Harajuku" My husband said that this one was his favorite among the four. He is indeed a great sake brewer from Akita!
