Good evening, it's the first day of a three-day weekend and I'm going to continue my drinking activities as usual 🍶🤣.
I've been a dog and monkey for a while now. Rivals? Allies? I'm going to compare the collaboration sake of these two breweries.
Houou Mita Aikoku 2024BY✨
Tochigi sake's two top breweries, Hououmida and Senkou, have finally collaborated 😳 It seems to be brewed by reviving an ancient variety, Aikoku No.3.
From the aroma, it smells like brown rice and grains, probably due to the ancient rice-like aroma. After tasting the sweetness of the rice, it has a dry Junmai sake flavor, making it suitable as a mid-meal sake. It is a bottle I would like to pair with sashimi and other Japanese dishes. (Unfortunately, dinner is not fish-based.)
Oh, it is also delicious when drunk alone 😊😋😋.
I'm going to compare it with Senkou after this 😄
