The word for "birthplace" is "ubusuna". It means the guardian deity of the land where you were born. I had never heard of it before.
We bought it because it is a raw sake from Kumamoto prefecture. The prefecture has a strong image of shochu (distilled liquor), but the product is very tasty. It is so fizzy that fine bubbles stick to glass glasses and inokuchi. The sake has a refreshing sourness and sweetness that stands out.
This was a bargain. Even if you don't know the brand, you should try it. It's encounters like this that make sake so fun.
