On my first visit to Oita, I took a short trip to visit Nakano Sake Brewery in Kitsuki City (I forgot to take a picture of the brewery 😭). (I forgot to take a picture of the brewery...😭) Even though our timing was just in time with a group of Westerners, they were very courteous and even allowed us to taste the sake.
I bought a small bottle of Chiebito, which is hard to find outside of the local area, for myself, as a souvenir, and for drinking with my evening drink during my stay in Oita. The aroma was subtle, with a ripe, fruity aroma like red melon or mango, not too sweet or acidic, with just the right amount of bitterness and umami. Thank you for the sake.
