I'm a slob and can drink and even take pictures, but I can't quite check in (tears).
I also had the end of the year and the New Year, albeit in a very small way, and I was chipping away at the sake I was looking forward to.
This is the first bottle of it.
Sawaya Matsumoto Dry Junmai
As I am from Kyoto, I would like to drink as much as I can of Matsumotosan's pre-2020 products.
First, at room temperature. It has a moderate aroma, dryness, and plenty of flavor.
When heated, you can feel the richness of the rice, and the acidity gives it a crisp, smart image.
Anyway, the specs are good enough for a standard everyday sake.
