I was invited to a party at a friend's house, and I went to a nearby department store to look for sake to drink with him.
Here is one of the sake I drank yesterday.
While some of us don't normally drink sake, we chose Ottersai's Junmai Daiginjo Sparkling.
Ottersai Sparkling... I've seen it around, but I've never bought it for myself, so this was my first experience.
Rice: Yamadanishiki 100%.
Rice polishing ratio: 44%.
The shape of the bottle and the stopper remind me of champagne.
The color is a little cloudy.
The mouthfeel is......swooshing, followed by the sweetness of the rice.
Anyway, it's sweet! And it's elegantly sweet! You can fully enjoy the sweetness of the carefully polished rice.
Even the person I drank it with (who doesn't normally drink sake) said it was so easy to drink that he couldn't get enough.
I don't usually drink sparkling sake, so it was refreshing.
Ottersai was hard to find at one time, but nowadays you can find it in stores.
It's been a while since I've had it, but it's the kind of sake that never disappoints!
