<"Pears in ecstasy, sweet and bitter.
Aruzoe sake with a list price of 2,000 yen. It is the standard of Jyushidai.
The aroma is of pear bitterness with a hint of alcohol. Fruity sweet acidity and clear but attractive bitterness. And the beautiful alcohol feeling is already happy.
In the mouth, it is fresh, slightly tangy, and peary. The bitterness spreads from there, and the sweetness is even richer and richer.
Umaaaaaahhhh!
It's been a long time since I've had Honmaru, but I don't remember it tasting this good.
At the end, the sweetness recedes a little and disappears nicely and softly. And what is still amazing is the smoothness. As usual, it is so smooth that there is no sensation of it going down your throat. It melts in your mouth and disappears. It is very impressive.
If I were to use a Ghibli analogy, I would compare it to Nahoko in "The Wind Rises. She is fresh and beautiful because of her bitterness. And she disappears fleetingly, beautiful as she is.
