I was curious about this drink when I saw it at a local supermarket.
Riz Vin" means "rice wine" in French.
With an alcohol content of 4.5 to 5.5%, it has a sweet but refreshing taste that even those who do not like Japanese sake can enjoy.
The small volume makes it more of an aperitif.
I enjoyed it with food. It is difficult to match sweet sake with dishes, so I tried it with three different flavors: something salty (pickles), something sweet and spicy (yakitori), and something sour (Japanese marinade).
Since the sake was light, I was able to enjoy all of the dishes in their own way. If I had to pick the best...it would be the yakitori.
