Amabuki純米吟醸 いちご酵母
一本義 仙介🇺🇦
Sake from Saga Prefecture. It landed in Kyushu (lol).
I bought it at a supermarket in Hankyu in Sannomiya (recommended for a wide variety of one-cup drinks).
The first sip is a rush of dark sweetness. A sweet and sour aroma, a bit like strawberries.
and the sweetness quickly turns into a sharp pungency, and then it kicks in like an undertow. The aftertaste of the dark sweetness is very refreshing.
If you were imagining a sweet sake from the strawberry yeast character and the design of the cup, you would be wrong. It was a much sharper and drier sake.
There was also a one-cup of sunflower yeast from the same brewery, so we will try this one soon as well.
