It is not as fruity as its reputation suggests, perhaps because I have been preferring fruity sake lately. It is a dry sake with a mellow mouthfeel and a crisp taste. The sharpness is due to the addition of brewing alcohol.
It's a pioneer of Ginjo sake, so I've been drinking it while thinking, "So this is the sake that was loved in the 1980s?
