When I bought Raifuku, I saw a bottle with a delicious color, so I opened it at the same time as the Awagura I brought with me 😋.
I chilled it well in the refrigerator before opening the bottle. Ping! When I poured it into the glass, fine bubbles were rising. The appearance of the bottle is already very exciting!
From the first sip, the light bubbles tickle the tongue as expected. The gentle sweetness and rice flavor characteristic of nigori sake spreads, but there is no sweetness at all. Rather, the refreshing acidity that follows and the crisp, clean taste round out the whole experience.
It is like drinking champagne, but with the strange sensation of being able to taste the flavor of sake.
It seems to go well with slightly heavier dishes such as fried food and cheese 😊.
Today I had it with fried chicken, and it seemed to go well with it as well, as it washed away the oiliness of the dish. ‼️
