I love whiskey, so I had high expectations, but I could only smell the aroma of barley shochu rather than that of oak.
It is an old whiskey, but the balance of spiciness makes me mistake it for piquancy.
I don't like it because of the grain-like smell.
After some time, the smell calmed down and the aftertaste became like red wine. Maybe it's the wine barrel effect.
