This original junmai is recommended at Tsukii Sake Shop, which we visited during our trip to Nasu. This custom-made junmai sake is brewed with contract-cultivated Gohyakumangoku, Shoninzawa spring water, Tochigi Prefecture yeast T-SSU & Akari No. 10 yeast. It has a banana-like aroma, a hint of alcohol, and a soft mouthfeel that the liquor store owner warns against drinking too much of. The acidity and sweetness are mild enough to keep you going for a long time, and the taste is what you would expect from a local sake. It is a pity that we could not buy a bottle.

They have a great selection of local sake.
Next time I visit, I will look for sake from here!

Dear Drunkenness of a Lifetime of Style
Thank you for your comment. We had only one bottle of raw sake left, and since we were on our way out, we had to give it up. There were many other great Tochigi sake brands, please visit us.
