The original brand name was "Shirakiku", which was derived from "white" for the purity of sake and "chrysanthemum" for the aroma of sake, but when the trademark was registered in the Showa period, "Shirakiku" was registered in the Kansai region, and they added a character "Higashi" for sake brewers in the East and named it "Higashi Shirakiku".
It is sweet and spicy! Very mellow, rich, and deep flavor, truly Fukaya. It has a slightly peculiar taste. The top aroma is of ripe pineapple.
