Tonight we are on the way to our hometown. While admiring the night view, I'll open a bottle of "Akagisan" kijo-zake, which has been laid up for a year!
When the bottle is opened, it has a gorgeous aroma reminiscent of a flower garden. Not only is it a sweet aroma, but it also has a pleasant breezy quality to it.
The mouthfeel is smooth and mellow like honey. It has a smooth and silky texture, as is typical of Akagisan, and despite the dense sweetness of kijo-zake, it goes down smoothly!
The flavor is reminiscent of honeyed apples and ripe pears. Bliss âš.
I rarely let it sit for a year because of the space it takes up, but it would be nice to try other brands in small bottles or so ð€€.
