The end of the year is approaching. These days, it's cold enough to make me shiver when I go outside. In such a situation, the taste of the first siboritate is delicious. At this time of year, I get excited when I see the words "Hatsu Shibori" and "Shiboritate" lined up in stores.
The other day, I went to the liquor store to buy some more sake, as I had run out of stock at home due to a rather delicate souvenir. Even though it was a weekday, the place was more crowded than usual, probably because people were buying sake for their friends. Even so, the abundance of sake at this time of year is unbelievable! One bottle is the easy drinking "Yokoyama" for my parents' house when I go home, and the rest are for myself.
This is the one we'll be opening today! It's a Sugiyu Hatsu Shibori. (Sorry for the confusion with the Mimuro Sugi when I bought it...) Even though I know it won't be a disappointment, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
I'll take it! Mmm, this sense of balance. Delicious! It's not too sweet, not too spicy, it's a good food sake. It seems to be easy to match with food. It has a sake character. It has a recent atmosphere, but it also has the atmosphere that sake used to have, so it's a good mix. Of course, it's fresh!
We don't recommend it to those who are not used to it. If you like sake, this is for you!
