I arrived in Fujieda for work the day before. I went looking for an akachōchin (red lantern) by myself. It is an izakaya in front of the station. The young and energetic izakaya owner is young and energetic, but I prefer a quieter place. I order Isojiman, which is the second best sake in Shizuoka Prefecture. He pours enough to fill a glass and a square, and the taste is okay. The taste is okay, but the yakitori and shiitake mushroom tsukune (I hear Fujieda is famous for its shiitake mushrooms) are good. The pickled mushrooms were delicious. We order more hot sake and fried oysters.
