Hakkaisan Kijoshu 2022
The color is thick and slightly yellowish.
The aroma is mild, but has a soft scent of fermented rice. It smells a little like alcohol, or perhaps distilled spirits, with a tangy yet sweet aroma.
The taste is surprisingly sweet! Delicious!
A thick mouthfeel passes smoothly down the tongue and throat, slowly conveying the concentrated sweetness of the rice.
There is no fruitiness. The original sweetness of the rice comes through strongly.
The alcohol taste that you feel from the aroma is not there, and you can drink it easily despite its high alcohol content.
It was great to drink on its own or to eat with vanilla ice cream.
This was my first time drinking kijoshu, and I had no idea it could be so tasty.
