Sake from Shonai, Yamagata. Fire-brewed nigori sake for summer. Dry, smooth and easy to drink. 100% Haenuki. I am a Tohoku woman who thinks that Haenuki, Sasanishiki and Akita Komachi taste better with sake than with white rice.
The best white rice is Yamagata's Tsuyahime! Even when cold, it is shiny and very sweet!
