I traveled to Hokuriku, where my parents live, for a three-day weekend. But due to my busy schedule, I couldn't even buy a bottle of sake as a souvenir ð. I thought I'd open up a bottle of good sake to get rid of the blues.
I won the Sakenomy lottery. I guess I'm lucky again this year. The bottle of this sake is just so nice. I've never seen a glass lid before.
The aroma is gentle citrus and a little lactic acid. A little bit of cemedine when it gets close to room temperature. No gassiness.
The sweetness is quite restrained. The strong but refreshing acidity is pleasant.
The second half is also mainly acidic, and finishes crisply when a slight bitterness is sensed. The lingering taste is astringent.
It is quite a dry sake. But as one would expect from Niimasa, it is very tasty. It is very refined, easy to drink, and goes down very smoothly. I realized once again that this is a very special sake.
