I was going to pair red wine with miso oden with beef tendon, but at the request of my wife who wanted to drink sake, Kurikomayama, which I bought as a souvenir on my New Year's trip home, made its appearance.
The aroma is sake-like, but with just the right amount of fruity flavor, yet it is refreshing and cuts through the fat. Delicious!
