I wanted to try a good honjozo, so I left with a bottle on my back. Izakaya are open these days, and liquor stores are moving their stock faster than during the declared state of emergency.
It's light and the melon feeling continues even after two weeks of opening the bottle. It's sweet, but it's a refreshing fruit-like sweet entrance, but then it's very sharp. I don't think I'll be repeating a bottle because of the alcoholiness (which seems to affect the drunkenness), but I'm sure there are those who like this brewed alcohol-like dry sharpness.
If you're unhappy with it, then pay a little more and get some pure rice sake! I guess that's what I'm saying❤️
